About Shakeel Ahmed

Shakeel Ahmed is a Researcher of Islam & Comparative Religion. He worked as a Private Secretary in the Department of Post and retired from Government Service in Oct 2019. He has been writing books in Odia language to help people understand the teachings of Islam in its right perspective and is striving for peace and harmony among the people of different communities. He has founded IQRA RESEARCH ACADEMY for the purpose and he is the Chairman of the Trust. He has translated the Qur’an in simple Odia language which has been published in 2021.

His books have been highly appreciated by the Odia readers of the state and several local newspapers. He has addressed several Religious Conferences, Public Meetings and participated in Live Television Prgrammes to promote Peace.

He has been felicited by the Divine India Youth Association & Cuttack Municipal Corporation for promoting Peace & Harmony. He has been honoured with Excellence Award 2019 by the American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin for his outstanding research and publications on the comparative religion and his laudable interfaith activities.
